Precious Bryngelson- President

The Bryngelson Family has a multigenerational legacy of service. Our family lineage is steeped in this culture of service as educators, therapists, lay leaders, active-duty military, government servants, and entrepreneurs in support of our community, our country, our world, and our faith.
We are a self-sustained foundation rooted in service for a brighter future. We are funded by entrepreneurship and a diverse portfolio of investments, including property development and multi-family housing.
We, Nick and Precious Bryngelson, started our legacy of service as children of humble, civic-minded public servants. We continued our service together by working with non-governmental aid and other service organizations in South America to educate women and children and build simple, sustainable engineering solutions for the communities they served.
While in South America, we supported many projects that addressed local problems in the small, rural Andes villages we served. For example, we worked on a project to build a community-wide biosand filtration system to address the lack of clean water. In other high-Peruvian communities, a clean-burning stove project addressed a myriad of health impacts from cooking and heating with open fires in huts. In a rural Ecuadorian community, teaching finance and business management to an all-female collective of women raising the local delicacy Cuy created financial independence for women, reduced domestic abuse, and raised the village's household standard of living. In a Peruvian community, many students’ households were so impoverished that they couldn’t provide even the minimum amount of protein to fuel a child’s brain for learning. A simple community solution was to have students raise hens on school grounds so all students in need could receive the minimum daily protein intake for cognitive and physical development.
Upon our return home to the US, our work continued for over two decades, with a commitment to our local community through education and to our global community through a study abroad business. Along this service journey, we have learned that the most significant positive impact comes from scalable, replicable solutions. The Bryngelson Family Foundation seeks to fund projects, domestically and internationally, that address the root causes of societal issues, and entrepreneurial projects that generate wealth and create lasting, positive impact in communities.
